Elo Arcade is an online arcade for word, logic, geography, sports, and music games at eloarcade.app. This notice explains the information used to sign you in, save your progress, run games, and protect the service. For questions or requests about your account information, contact quentin@nassaulabs.com.

Google sign-in

When you sign in with Google, Elo Arcade receives your Google account identifier, name, email address, and confirmation that Google has verified your email. These identify your account and let you return to your saved progress. You choose a separate username for games and the leaderboard, and can change it in your account.

Elo Arcade requests Google's basic identity permissions. It does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, your contacts, or your Google password. Google identity tokens are checked during sign-in; Elo Arcade does not save Google access tokens or refresh tokens in its account database.

Game information

Elo Arcade stores your answers, scores, answer timing, game results, rating, progress, and related game timestamps. This information supports gameplay, matchmaking, scoring, and your game history.

You can play daily challenges and supported practice games without an account. An essential cookie containing a random, signed guest identifier lets you resume your attempt and view your result in the same browser. The cookie lasts up to 30 days. Guest attempts do not create an account, add to account progress, or appear on the leaderboard. Signing in does not transfer a guest attempt to your account.

In a duel, your opponent can see your username and rating. Depending on the game and match stage, they may also see your score, answer timing, rounds answered, and whether you have finished. Scores and feedback update according to that game’s rules. Your Google profile name, email address, and Google account identifier are not included in the opponent view. A completed game may retain the username used when it started.

Players who complete a ranked duel appear on that game’s leaderboard with their username, Elo rating, wins, and games played. Anyone can view the top three; signed-in players can view the full rankings. Your activity calendar and streak history are visible only to you. Leaderboard and activity responses do not include email addresses or Google account identifiers.

Cookies and security information

Elo Arcade uses an essential sign-in cookie that expires after seven days and a temporary sign-in protection cookie that lasts up to ten minutes. Signing out clears the sign-in cookie and revokes that session. You can also sign out on all devices from your account page.

Your light or dark mode preference is stored in your browser so it can be remembered between visits.

The service processes network information needed to deliver requests. To limit repeated sign-in attempts and guest game creation, the application uses a keyed hash derived from your IP address in short-lived security counters. It also records service error identifiers and aggregate operational measurements to diagnose failures and monitor availability.

Analytics and your choices

When enabled, Elo Arcade uses Google Analytics only after you choose to allow analytics. It measures page visits, completed free games, completed Studio samples, and return visits after playing to help improve the site. Gameplay events identify the game and mode, and sample events identify the exercise; they do not include answers or scores. For Studio, consented events also cover the game and level opened, rounds submitted, sessions completed or paused, and audio loading times or failures. Google receives technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, and analytics cookie identifiers. Elo Arcade sends only known page paths, without URL queries or fragments. It does not send your email, username, Google sign-in identifier, game identifiers, answers, or scores to Analytics.

Analytics cookies last up to one year. Your analytics choice is stored in this browser for one year and is separate from advertising choices. You can turn analytics off below; this stops further measurement and removes Elo Arcade's analytics cookies. Elo Arcade also keeps analytics off when your browser sends Global Privacy Control. Local development visits are not measured.

Google handles analytics information under its Privacy Policy. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services for details.

Advertising measurement

Elo Arcade uses Google Ads to measure which ads lead to completed free games and paid Studio subscriptions. Google may use advertising cookies and ad-click identifiers to connect a visit with these actions. A completed free game is reported separately from a subscription purchase, without a payment value. Its opaque, hashed reference prevents repeat counting without sending the saved game identifier. Studio samples are not counted as completed free games or purchases. Elo Arcade sends the verified initial subscription payment amount, currency, and an opaque transaction reference to prevent duplicate conversions. Renewals and one-time ad-free purchases are not counted as new Studio subscriptions.

For visitors located in the United States, this measurement is on by default with Google's restricted data processing, unless you turn it off or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. For other countries, including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, or when your location is unknown, measurement starts only after you allow it. Your country is estimated on Elo Arcade's servers from network information, without sharing your IP address with a separate location service or requesting your device's location. You can change your measurement choice below.

This setting is separate from Analytics and AdSense. Choices you make are remembered for one year in this browser; an automatic regional setting is not saved as your consent. Advertising cookies are configured for up to 90 days; bounded records of sent conversions and prior gameplay days stay in this browser for up to one year to prevent duplicates and recognize return visits. Turning measurement off does not affect your account or subscription. Elo Arcade does not send your email, username, Google sign-in identifier, card details, answers, or scores to Google Ads. Personalized advertising and enhanced conversion data collection are off. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

On-site advertising

Google AdSense and its advertising consent service are currently disabled. Elo Arcade does not request AdSense ads or show AdSense consent messages.

Ad-free purchases

If you buy ad-free access, Stripe processes the payment on its hosted checkout page. Elo Arcade does not receive or store your full card number or card security code. Elo Arcade sends Stripe an internal account and order reference to connect the payment to your account. Stripe also collects the payment and contact details you enter at checkout.

Elo Arcade stores payment references, purchase status, amount, currency, and timestamps so it can activate access, handle refunds or disputes, and keep purchase records. AdSense is currently disabled for everyone. Your ad-free entitlement applies if on-site advertising is enabled. Google Ads measurement follows the regional settings and choices above. Stripe handles payment information under its Privacy Policy.

Studio subscriptions

Studio subscriptions use Stripe's hosted checkout and billing portal. Elo Arcade sends Stripe your internal account reference and, when available, your verified account email to associate billing with your account. Stripe collects the payment and contact details you provide. Elo Arcade does not receive or store your full card number or card security code.

Elo Arcade stores Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, and payment references, subscription status, billing interval, paid-period end, cancellation status, and verification timestamps. This information verifies paid access, handles renewals, cancellations, refunds, and disputes, and lets you manage your subscription. If on-site advertising is enabled, an active paid Studio subscription includes ad-free access while you are signed in. Google Ads measurement follows the regional settings and choices above. Studio billing is separate from one-time ad-free purchases. Stripe handles this information under its Privacy Policy.

Service providers

Google handles Google sign-in. Amazon Web Services hosts Elo Arcade and stores its account and game data. These services process information needed to provide those functions. Google also handles information under its own Privacy Policy.

Retention and your choices

Guest access depends on the signed guest cookie, which expires after up to 30 days. Find the change guest daily attempts expire from normal access 48 hours after the end of their challenge day in UTC. Rhythm recall, Melody memory, and Keep the Beat solo records are configured to expire 30 days after starting; daily and practice arcade puzzle sessions and their move-retry records expire after 35 days. Expired database records may remain until automatic cleanup completes. Cookie expiry or clearing the guest cookie removes that browser's access to its guest attempts, even if a saved record remains.

Account information, cumulative game statistics, and daily activity counts do not expire automatically. The activity calendar displays the past year; older daily counts support your lifetime streak records. Under the current configuration, detailed completed or canceled Find the change and ranked match records and their history expire from normal access after 90 days; the separate solo-game periods are described above. Expired database records may remain until cleanup completes, and backup copies may remain longer.

Sign-in sessions expire after seven days unless revoked sooner. Temporary sign-in attempts expire after ten minutes. Signing out, or removing Elo Arcade's connection in your Google account, does not itself delete the account and game information already stored by Elo Arcade.

Contact quentin@nassaulabs.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information. There is currently no account-deletion button in the app.
