Subway Connect

Complete three New York subway journeys within one, two, then three train rides.

How to play

  1. Read the current origin, destination and ride budget. Use the provided station and service network; no prior New York subway knowledge is needed. This is a curated puzzle network, not live travel directions.
  2. Choose a service at your current station, then a destination served by it. Staying on that service to any station counts as one ride, regardless of how many stops you pass.
  3. Change services at a shared station complex. Each new ride uses one of the journey’s allowed rides. Reach the destination within the ride budget.
  4. Undo last ride removes your most recent ride. Restart journey returns to this journey’s origin. Both are free retries; they do not restart a running competition clock or erase completed journeys.
  5. After arriving, choose Next journey. Finish all three journeys to complete the challenge; fewer rides or moves do not replace a correct finish.

Head-to-head rules

Complete all three subway journeys within their ride budgets before your opponent. Both players get the same puzzle and start together, with 3 minutes to finish. Completion time decides the match; fewer moves or a higher solo score do not beat an earlier correct finish. Finishes within 0.1 seconds draw. If neither player finishes before time runs out, the match is a draw.

Your moves and answers stay private. Leaving through the game controls forfeits the match; closing the page does not pause its clock.

Real-player matches update this game's own Elo rating. Daily and practice results keep their separate progress and never change Elo.
